Go-to Green Smoothie

Typically, I start my morning with this green smoothie. A burst of nutrients in the morning will give you energy for the day and the protein powder will keep you full until lunch. This is a basic recipe, but you can always make a few substitutions if you have other preferences. For example, you could sub any leafy green for the kale or add any other liquid instead of the cashew milk. You could also try making this into a smoothie bowl by only adding 3/4 cup of the desired liquid and top with granola and fresh fruit.

Recipe for Glowing Green Smoothie (shop my favorite ingredients below)

  • 1 1/2 cups vanilla cashew milk
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 3 large handfuls of kale
  • 1 frozen banana, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  • optional add ins:
    • 1 Tbs ground flaxseed
    • 1 Tbs hemp seed
    • 1 Tbs shredded coconut
    • 1 pitted medjool date

Place all ingredients in a blender (in the order listed) and blend until smooth and creamy. Enjoy!
