This is my go-to hummus recipe that I make all the time. Everyone who has ever tried it loves it and what it really comes down to is just using the right proportion of ingredients. Also, using the whole lemon gives it a kick and the consistency is absolute perfection. There are so many variations you could try, using the basic recipe as a base: roasted garlic, sun dried tomato, arugula and basil, roasted red pepper. Simply combine all of the following ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy! Enjoy on everything!
- 1 can garbanzo beans, drained (save liquid)
- just under 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup garbanzo bean liquid
- 1/2 lemon (whole lemon) + juice from other half
- 1/2 tsp seal salt
- 1/2 cup tahini
