Golden milk is a blend of turmeric and traditional Ayurvedic herbs that is as delicious as it is nourishing. It’s naturally caffeine-free, so is a delicious warm beverage before bed or any other time of the day.
One quick way to make a cup is using Gaia Herbs Golden Milk supplement. Simply add about one heaping teaspoon of the golden milk spice blend to a saucepan with a tablespoon of melted coconut oil and let the spices warm up before adding about 2 cups of almond milk, cashew milk, or any other milk of choice. Add a sweetener such as raw honey or date paste if desired (I didn’t, I liked the pure taste of spices) and enjoy the benefits of this warming, holistic drink.
If you’d prefer to make it on your own, warm up a cup of almond milk (or other milk of choice), then whisk in 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp cinnamon, a dash of nutmeg, and a dash of black pepper.
